Bandit Camp/Gypsy Village - A Gypsy Curse

This mini begins in the Gypsy Village, in Sigil Underground. In one of the rooms in this village, there is a dirty gypsy.

A dirty gypsy lounges here looking quite melancholy.
A dirty gypsy says with a sly grin, 'You know, your type comes around here all the time searching to cure the gypsy curse...'
A dirty gypsy grins evilly. This is getting scary!

A dirty gypsy buffs his fingernails on his tattered shirt.

A dirty gypsy says, '... and save their loved ones. I'm a compassionate guy. I might be able to help you for some ale.'

You give a stout of ale to a dirty gypsy.

A dirty gypsy says 'mmMMmmMMmmMMmm.'

A dirty gypsy takes a swig of the ale before tucking it away beneath his rags.

A dirty gypsy whispers, 'I hear there is an ill half-gypsy girl in the bandit camp, and her mother is part of our caravan. She's been trying to contact her daughter for some time now... help cure her of the curse.'

A dirty gypsy stretches a bit.

'Eh, you can't blame her, it's her own blood.' a dirty gypsy says. 'Now get going, I don't want to be cursed for helping the likes of you.'

You can buy the ale in Genauras, one of the other villages in the Sigil Underground. Then, head over to the Bandit Camp, also in Sigil Underground. The dying girl is located in a locked room in the Bandit King's Throne Room. The key comes from the Bandit King.

The trick seems to be figuring out how to heal her. So far, all I've managed is to catch the contagious gypsy curse that fortunately can be removed with remove curse, but that doesn't seem to help her at all.

Genauras - Some Kind of Ritual

While I was trying to kill an hour between doing crystal hunts, I decided to pop down to the Sigil Underground and see if anything developed. I was pleasantly surprised to find something new to work on that I hadn't cracked earlier.

I haven't finished this mini, but I am interested in it. To begin, go into the building in Genauras that is A Cobwebbed Barn Entrance, and search. Searching should reveal a northwest and northeast exit. Both exits lead to the same area, so it doesn't really matter which way you go. When you try to go through the door, you see a grey block of text appear, which includes the pass phrase for the door.

Proceed into the Secret Passageway until you come to a northeast exit to a Cluttered Laboratory. The mini seems to begin here.

*A dishevelled elf in a white coat fiddles with the contents of a fizzing purple beaker.
Professor Ordunvec mumbles something about a missing ingredient.

'Ingredient' you say to Professor Ordunvec.

'Heh, yes.' Professor Ordunvec says. 'Fancy that, I'm missing another ingredient.'

Professor Ordunvec sighs.

'I have some extra in my box in the closet, but I've broken the key and I can't seem to fix it.' Professor Ordunvec says.

'It's been forever since I had to go in there, but it would be a great service to me if you perhaps could find someone to fix my key?' Professor Ordunvec asks.

Professor Ordunvec runs his fingers through his dishevelled hair nervously before reaching into his pocket, and producing a key.

Professor Ordunvec gives you a key with a skull and crossbones.

So, I took the key to Firon the smithy in the fort area I had seen earlier. When I first came across him, he told me that he could repair anything.

You give a key with a skull and crossbones to Firon.

'A magnificent key this is, indeed!' Firon exclaims.

Firon says, 'This will need more than my normal services to fix, but it'd be my pleasure for, hmm...'

'5,000 gold.' Firon says.

You give Firon 5000 gold.

Firon begins to fiddle with a skull and crossbones key.

Firon holds the key out in front of him with a satisfied look on his face.

'Here you go, Lantis.' Firon says. 'Was a pleasure to do business with you.'
Firon gives you a key with a skull and crossbones.

I was glad I was lugging around all the gold I was making from crystal hunts just then. So, with the key repaired, I brought it back to the Professor.

You give a key with a skull and crossbones to Professor Ordunvec.

'Yeah, yeah.' Professor Ordunvec says. 'Thanks... I'm in the middle of an important experiment right now!'

Professor pulls a huge ring of keys from his pocket and begins to flip through them.

Professor Ordunvec says, 'Here it is, make yourself useful and go into the closet and retrieve the ingredient.'

Professor Ordunvec gives you a closet key.
Professor Ordunvec gives you a key with a skull and crossbones.

You unlock the door with a closet key.

You open the north door.

Closet Behind the Laboratory - - -
(-------------------------------------------------) - <---(M)---> -
WARNING: You are in a NEUTRAL PLAYER KILLING room. - S -

This small cramped closet is less than tidy with innumerable magical
items stuffing the small shelves on every wall. This must be where the most powerful items are stored as many of them are glowing or emitting a soft humming noise. The rancid smell of putrefied flesh and strong potions exudes from some of the items and infect the air making it barely breathable. Spiders have made there home among the dusty shelves and created huge cobwebs.
An old wooden box rests against the far wall here.

*Click*
You unlock an old wooden box with a key with a skull and crossbones.
A key with a skull and crossbones snaps and breaks in the lock.

You open an old wooden box.

An old wooden box contains:
a bubbling chartreuse vial
A total of 1 (10 max) item weighing 0 sts, 1 pb (0 sts, 15 pbs max).

You take a bubbling chartreuse vial from an old wooden box.

You give a bubbling chartreuse vial to Professor Ordunvec.
Professor Ordunvec says, 'Excellent...'

Professor Ordunvec pulls the cap off of the chartreuse vial with his teeth, grimacing at the nasty taste.

Professor Ordunvec brings the chartreuse vial to level with the purple vial he is holding and begins to pour it into the fizzing liquid.

The liquid within the vial turns a bright turquoise and a whiny hissing noise vibrates through the room.

Then... Silence...

Professor Ordunvec scratches his head, obviously confused by all this.

BOOM!@# Goo flies all over the room.
Professor Ordunvec rolls his eyes, disgusted at what is going on here.
'Now what good is the liquid to me!' Professor Ordunvec exclaims. 'I promised them a working ritual by the end of the week, BLECH.'

A glob of goo falls from the ceiling and splatters on the floor.

You take a glob of distorting goo.

Now its time to go inspect this ritual. Leave the laboratory and go northwest, and south to get to Along the Diamond of Empowerment. Go southwest twice and then southeast twice (or visa versa, since its a diamond and both directions lead to the south point of the diamond.) Then go north and north again to get to the Central Ritual Chamber. This ritual seems to be very similar in set up to the Solar Chamber in Temple of Sumter, or the Mark of Ceremony.

Anyway, it uses the same mechanic. You've got special reagent-type items, such as the glob of distorting goo that you just obtained, and you need to match those items up to their particular container in the rooms surrounding the center chamber. In this case, the containers for the objects are the pentagrams.

To begin, go down into the Lower Ritual Chamber, and put the goo in the pentagram. The pentagram turns and out drops a piece of fluffy cloud. Take the cloud and put it in the pentagram in the Northern Ritual Chamber. Once again, the next object appear which is a moon rock from Trigael. Go to the Eastern Ritual Chamber, and put the moon rock from Trigael into the pentagram there to receive a pure white luna flower. The flower goes into the pentagram in the Southern Ritual Chamber in exchange for a moon rock from Marabah. Finally, the moon rock from Marabah goes into the pentagram in the Western Ritual Chamber.

You put a moon rock from Marabah in a pentagram.
A pentagram begins to glow softly, then turns slowly clockwise.

A soft humming noise comes from the pentagram and then all is still.

The outline of a shiny white orb solidifies in the path of the light, hovering in the air.

And that was as far as I got, at least for now. Maybe I will have a brain wave later, but I can't figure out what to do with the shiny orb to advance this mini. It is my belief that I will have to do something with it in the Upper Ritual Chamber, but there is no visible container for it, and I can not bury it. Holding it and using it in the room does nothing. I've also tried giving it to some of the NPCs in the area as well as just walking around with it in my inventory hoping to trigger something.

If anyone has solved this, or has other information about this mini, I would be interested in hearing it.

Troglodyte Village - Bogga, Moggo, and the Chief

With the introduction of Sigil Underground and the five new villages, there was bound to be at least one mini quest, and probably more. One of these new mini quests is as follows:

In the Troglodyte Village, visit Chief Craggma Oog. His building is the one being guarded by a troglodyte and a boulder that you can't move. To get in to see him, sayto the guard open. He will tell you he is only supposed to let in troglodytes, but making a decision is too taxing on his mental faculties, so he gives you the key. The key opens the boulder and then breaks.

You say to Chief Craggma Oog, 'Bogga'

'Ahhh, Bogga.' Chief Craggma Oog says.

Chief Craggma Oog says, 'Bogga be me favorite daughter of the two.'

'Durr, me means, me favorite daughter.' Chief Craggma Oog says. 'Bogga have no sister!!'

Chief Craggma Oog mutters something under his breath about Bogga and Mogga with a look of self reassurance.

Chief Craggma Oog exclaims, 'Bogga have no sister, me have no other daughter!'
Chief Craggma Oog grows irritated and his brow furrows deeply.

'You know, when Bogga old enough, she marry Moggo.' Chief Craggma Oog says. 'He be great warrior!'

Sounds like something's fishy. Next, go to Moggo's Cavern.

'Bogga' you say to Moggo.

'Yes, Bogga sweet girl...' Moggo says. 'But...'
Moggo says, 'She not my true love.'

'Sister' you say to Moggo.

'Hmm...' Moggo says. 'Not many know this, but Bogga has sister...'
Moggo says, 'Me in love with her, but Chief no want me to marry her, he want me marry Bogga.'
'Chief no like her because she friendly with Genauras settlers, so he done something with her.' Moggo says. 'Me not know what.'
Moggo sighs.
'Me worried Chief done something bad and locked her up somewhere.' Moggo says. 'Please, bring her letter me make for her. Me desperate.'

Moggo gives you a letter from Moggo.

You focus your powers of observation on a letter from Moggo: Item 'a letter from Moggo' is type trash, alignment 0, made of none, has keywords 'letter Moggo'. This item weighs 0 stones and 1 pebbles, and is valued at 0 gp. This level 10 item has the attributes: identified A letter from Moggo is in excellent condition. Me be trying to get letter to you long time, me sweet. If you get letter, please trust person who gives you, and return to Bogga. She miss you... Me miss you -Moggo

'Me goodness...' a severely beaten troglodyte woman says. 'Me dear Moggo hasn't forgotten me.'

A severely beaten troglodyte woman pauses a moment to wipe away a tear running down her fuzzy face.

A severely beaten troglodyte woman says, 'Me been here so long, me thought he forgot about me.'

'Me so happy he and Bogga no betray me, me follow you.' a severely beaten troglodyte woman says. 'Me go to Bogga.'

Then, you lead her back to Bogga.

'Sister!!!' Bogga Oog exclaims.

Bogga Oog says, 'Me miss you so much.'

'Thank you strange person for bring back me sister.' Bogga Oog says. 'Moggo and me be happy now.'

'Bogga, me thought you and Moggo betray me, me was so depressed.' a severely beaten troglodyte woman says. 'Me so happy everything ok.'
A severely beaten troglodyte woman hugs Bogga Oog gently. How sweet!

'Before me go, take this.' a severely beaten troglodyte woman says. 'It let Chief know me out of prison and let Moggo know me love him. That make him scared.'

'Me better go hide so noone find me.' a severely beaten troglodyte woman says. 'Me so happy to be home.'

So, there you go, the reward is not very good, only 10k gold and 3 quest points, but its still a reward.
